Like the inspiring heroes in Miracle, Remember the Titans, and The Rookie, the amazingly gifted Santiago Munez, a young immigrant living in the barrios of Los Angeles, has an impossible dream -- to play soccer for a world class team. Unexpectedly getting a tryout with one of England's premier soccer clubs, Newcastle United, Santiago finds himself totally alone in a world where soccer is a religion and the players are gods. Now he not only has to prove he has the passion, talent, and determination to make it alongside the best in the world, but he has to overcome his own demons and those of others. Filled with memorable characters, great heart, and real-life soccer legends, Goal! The Dream Begins is a triumphant story about believing in your dreams.

This movie is one of my favorites!, I can watch this movie over and over again but one thing I can’t stand is the edited scenes iTunes did on this movie it sort of kills it.

Eight years later and this movie is still one of the best football films ever made. If you love football, the real football that is, then this is a must-watch for you.

I love soccer and I love this movie. I've seen all 3, however 3 wasn't great. I wish they made a goal 4 to finish up the storyline

Appreciate ITunes picking this movie up, but I do not appreciate them cutting scenes. Excellent portrayal of an underdog with dreams presented and what an opportunity at the door step. Just wish it was the true cut, not edited.

This is most probably the best soccer movie I have ever seen, lots of drama and action. Watch Santiago Muñez follow his dream.

I have both seen, and shown this movie to a group of teenage boys I coached soccer to a few years ago, and it made an impression on all of them that night, and at least one of them, the impression has lasted since them and pushed him to go beyond where other's expected to reach the places he wanted to GO!
  • Amazing Movie!
