The Night House Movie Streaming Description

Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep it together, but then nightmares come – disturbing visions of a presence in the house calling to her, beckoning her with a ghostly allure. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into her husband’s belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and disturbing – a mystery she’s determined to unravel. Along with Rebecca Hall (Holmes & Watson, Christine), The Night House stars Sarah Goldberg (Barry), Vondie Curtis Hall (Die Hard 2, Eve’s Bayou), Evan Jonigkeit (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Sweetbitter), and Stacy Martin (Vox Lux, Nymphomaniac).

  • That scary movie

    By ACESsiggy
Where decisions come down to choosing between jumping in a running car or a shed full of chainsaws when escaping from a killer, the character always chooses the shed lol It’s on that level
  • So Disappointed with the ending

    By memebras
The ending is so ridiculous that makes you wonder the whole movie.. so not the same as the invisible man which was five times scarier and better.
  • On the edge of my seat without knowing what I am scared of!

The suspense is incredable, a horror film that manages to scare you that much and give you so much anxiety without any jumps, just pure terror, amazing film and acting!
  • Utterly chilling and inventive

Has some of the most inventive horror visuals I’ve ever seen. They’re subtle, but ingenious. PLAY LOUD.
  • Solid

Enjoyed it. Atmospheric. Artsy. Trailer depicts a little bit of a different idea I had going in but the overall outcome was solid. Good performances across the board. Slow burn at times, slightly difficult to follow in parts but it’s definitely worth the watch. Recommended.
  • Eerie, surprising & terrifying

I've been waiting and waiting for this movie to come out for the past almost 2 years I think and it's finally here!! I get so worried when highly anticipated horror movies, like this one, eventually do come out because more often than not I am left disappointed. However with The Night House, I found myself consistently terrified the last 2/3 of the film for many reasons. The cinematography, the atmosphere, the sense of dread. But it doesn't stop there, you actually get to find out what is happening and why. Such an original horror tale with grief, life, death, friendship and of course love. The beginning of the last act leaves you thinking you know what happened but just wait, it's a more profound and terrifying concept. Rebecca Hall was amazing in here and prior to this I was on the fence with her, but this film was hers and she was so great! Most horror film fans will probably like this for its originality and execution!
