The creator of “Hamilton” and the director of “Crazy Rich Asians” invite you to a cinematic event, where the streets are made of music and little dreams become big. Lights up on Washington Heights. The scent of a cafecito caliente hangs in the air just outside of the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies this vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is the likable, magnetic bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), who saves every penny from his daily grind as he hopes, imagines and sings about a better life. “In the Heights” fuses Lin‐Manuel Miranda’s kinetic music and lyrics with director Jon M. Chu’s lively and authentic eye for storytelling to capture a world very much of its place, but universal in its experience.

Nonstop high energy musical with amazing acting and wonderful insights on pursuing the American Dream and all of the impediments to reaching it.

  • Sad movie

    By Parkjongsoo
This movie is extremely sad. This is what happens when WOKE people start giving this film five stars. Rotten Tomatoes had to scene the ratings a bit cause if they didn’t they would be attack by Woke people. I fell asleep so…….

  • Didn’t like it

    By Dabmcdab
To me I have seen a lot of movies and I didn’t like this movie it was way to long and the story was bad and I just didn’t care for it
  • Better than Hamilton?

    By Taco Snack
To me it is. I’m Latino so that’s part of the reason, but also it has more soul and the characters develop more. The music is fun, gets your feet tapping and it’s not just hip hop. Lin-Manuel does a great job of mixing in ballads for the traditional Broadway fans. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.
  • Amazing!

I’ve watched this movie 3 times already and I love it, while it’s not the same as the Broadway version it’s really unique to see it from another perspective!

A musical movie. Glad they are coming back. Still can’t bet the old ones. With the classic dances, the beautiful clothing and music you still dance and sing too.
