  • Frightening but powerful.

From the pacing and drama setup at the beginning, one knows that this will not be a slow paced documentary and it delivers. At times feeling too slick and could've done with more of the organic stuff coming through (would've loved to have had more of the rough camera stuff that was promised in the begining), the film still delivers a powerful punch. The songbird scene still sticks with me today. Powerful.

I'm in 7th grade and was learning about earth's history in science class. We watched this movie and my life is changed. I will never EVER throw away another plastic bag. I reuse everything possible. I have encouraged my friends to watch this movie and change the way the live. As they said "better to light one candle then curse the darkness." This movie should be watched by everyone. Thank you for opening my eyes!

Louie Psihoyos has done it again. Another brilliant documentary about how man is hurting the planet. If we don't do something about it, we WILL lose everything that makes this planet great. I love our world so much; which is why seeing what we're doing to it thru this documentary simply made me cry so much!

Like no other film before it, Racing Extinction enlightens viewers about the catastrophic impact humankind is having on our mother earth and its other inhabitants. (They could have titled it "Racing Matricide.") To the extent it actually catalyzes positive change, it will be one of the most significant SOS messages ever. Bravo to the filmmakers for this heroic effort.

This documentary was life-changing! I'm a vegan, tree-hugger, ocean loving enthusiast and 17 years old. I believe this should be a mandatory movie for all schools across America to watch. I believe this is so important and is not emphasized enough in school. My generation needs to be educated and future ones too so that we can make a difference. Even one person can make a difference. Best documentary ever. Beautiful cinematography and enlightening information.

Will purchase this for my unborn grandson.. The way man is acting by the time he's my age this film may be the only source to see species close to extinction... Including us if we dont change. :(

We are so blinded from the harsh reality that sooner than expected will be un avoided. We really need to change our way of living. I have known this for a while but needed a push and got that from this film. I love the quote from the film about "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that."
